Using Grids and Scales for Resizing in Art
The Checkpoint 3 learners produced some amazing and creative self-portraits. The students were instructed to produce A2 size self-portraits. Students had the opportunity to digitally manipulate images of themselves and then rearrange and reconstruct portions using grids and scales to enlarge certain images. Using grids is a fantastic way for students to enlarge objects and pieces and then break them up into different proportions to produce wonderful abstract art pieces. By using a combination of paint and oil pastels, some vibrant pieces were produced.
