Community Achievers National
2017 was Rundle Interact’s second year participating in the CANSA Relay for Life. With the help of Rotary, the students got to Carpe Diem at around 14h00 in the afternoon to set up and prepare. Over 20 Rundle Students volunteered, making and selling coffee and hot chocolate and walking laps around the track from 4pm on 25th March to 5am the following morning. I am proud to say that we raised a total of R4619 and Interact was able to donate R3000 to the CANSA Association. On behalf of the committee, I would like to thank everyone that volunteered and participated in the event.
Why Do You Relay?
At the heart of CANSA Relay is the opportunity to celebrate cancer survivors, to remember those who have left us and create awareness about cancer. Funds go a long way to further research and communication to fight the disease andsince it is so prevalent in todays society, it most definitely forms a vital part of community focus and support and Rundle is proud to have been a passionate contributor these past 2 years.
