Environment Achievers National
The Grade 2 and 3 learners enjoyed learning about the germination of seeds. In order for seeds to grow into plants, they need soil containing nutrients, water, sunlight, the right temperature, room to grow, and time. The students brought some seeds to school, fertilized the soil and planted and watered the seeds. The learners enjoyed observing the process for themselves and are excited to see their plants, ferns, nasturtiums and green pepper plants grow and blossom. This is yet another example of including elements into the school curriculum that are relevant to life on a broad basis.
